Dr Rakesh Mehan is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in musculoskeletal conditions. He trained at the University of Manchester and undertook post graduate training in Radiology on the Manchester training scheme.
He was appointed to Bolton Hospitals in 2001 as Consultant Radiologist to set up the Musculoskeletal Magnetic Resonance Imaging service and develop Musculoskeletal ultrasound and imaging guided therapeutic injections.
He has presented his work at national and international meetings.
He is active in Research, teaching and training, he lectures on the Manchester Radiology training scheme and the MSc course in Rheumatology at Manchester University. He also examines on several Radiology Fellowship examination courses.
