MRI scanning

The introduction of MRI scanning, is a Nobel prize winning innovation which has revolutionised medical practice. It provides detailed images of bones, joints and soft tissues without ionising radiation using high strength magnetic fields. It can be combined with joint injections (arthrography) to provide non invasive views of the complex internal structure of joints.
